What is Korean Glass Skin?
New to the term? Here is what the treatment does, where it comes from and who it is for.
- What it does
The aim is skin that looks smooth, hydrated, fresh and radiant, with a glass-like sheen. The main result is an immediate glow and hydration, with soft, smooth skin and a fresh appearance.
- Where it comes from
The treatment is inspired by the Korean skincare philosophy. Skin is treated in layers, with steps that build on each other rather than one product doing everything. This idea runs through the whole treatment, from the first cleanse to sun protection at the end. Korean beauty, with a touch of luxury.
- Who it is for
For anyone who loves smooth, well-cared-for, radiant skin, and as preparation for a special occasion. If you are new to Korean skincare, this is a gentle starting point: your skin gets used to the products first, with the microneedling version a natural next step.
When we would rather not do the treatment is explained below under suitability.
The treatment
A smooth, fresh base
Dermaplaning uses a specialised sterile blade to professionally remove the surface layer of dead skin cells and fine facial hair.
Your skin immediately feels smoother, softer and fresher, creating a beautifully even base for the skincare that follows. It gives your skin a natural glow and allows skincare to be spread more evenly.

Double cleanse
A gentle milk-based cleanser, applied in two rounds. This fully removes make-up, sunscreen and sebum without drying your skin.

Exosome Bubble Essence
A foaming product that restores your skin’s moisture balance and pH. You feel a light tingling as it works.

Dermaplaning
We use a sterile blade to remove dead skin cells and fine facial hair. Your skin immediately feels smoother and is prepared for better absorption of the products.

Exosome Bubble Essence
A second round, now on freshly exfoliated skin, to remove everything that has been loosened.

Serum with an exosome boost
The active layer: colostrum exosomes, collagen and hyaluronic acid are applied to prepared skin, where they can work at their best. Fine lines and pigmentation are targeted.

Sheet mask

Frequently asked questions about Facial Korean Glass Skin Dermaplaning
Is dermaplaning the same as shaving your face?
No. With dermaplaning we use a sterile blade to remove the top layer of dead skin cells and the fine vellus hairs. It is first and foremost an exfoliation: your skin is instantly smoother and absorbs the products that follow much better. The vellus hairs do not grow back thicker or darker.
What are the downsides of dermaplaning?
After the treatment your skin is more sensitive to the sun, so you leave with SPF on and avoid sunbeds. For two weeks you skip scrubs, peels, retinol and acids. We do not perform the treatment if you have an active skin infection, acne, eczema or psoriasis in the treatment area, or if you take Roaccutane.
How often can you have dermaplaning?
That depends on your skin; we discuss what suits you during the intake. If you would like a course, we start with this dermaplaning version so your skin gets used to the Korean products, and follow with the Korean Glass Skin Microneedling a few weeks later.
What is the difference with Korean Glass Skin Microneedling?
Both treatments use the same Korean formula with colostrum exosomes, collagen, hyaluronic acid and niacinamide. The dermaplaning version exfoliates with a blade; the microneedling version delivers the serum deeper into the skin through fine microchannels. Dermaplaning is the gentle start, microneedling the more intensive next step.

There is nothing to prepare, just come as you are. Before we begin, we will briefly discuss your skin and anything we need to take into account.
- Intake form
After booking, you will receive an intake form by email. Please complete it before your visit so we can start straight away.
- Let us know beforehand
Do you take skin medication, have an allergy or have you recently had Botox or fillers? Mention it when booking or send us a WhatsApp message beforehand. Read when we would rather not carry out the treatment.
- Rescheduling or cancelling
Need to reschedule or cancel? Send us a WhatsApp message and we will sort it out together, ideally at least 24 hours in advance.
